SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is currently looking for Onshore Mechanical Methods Engineer to join its workforce in Nigeria.

Main Responsibilities:
He/She supports the Onshore Team Leader for Methods and preparation of medium and long-term activities.
He/She processes all outstanding notifications which have been approved and scoped.
He/She assists COMPANY Technical Support Engineers in the assurance of quality and proper execution of modification works.
He/She actions and expedites ERHA maintenance Equipment repairs with work packs and testing requirements validated by COMPANY Technical Support Engineers.
He/She assists the COMPANY in the preparation and execution of detailed maintenance work packs and its associated planning.
He/She reviews Preventive Maintenance Program validity by checking available means to complete it as and when required.
He/She prepares Work Packs for Complex Maintenance Job when requested.
He/She checks and ensures that vital equipment on production sites is available as and when required.
He/She ensures all required materials for Preventive Maintenance.
He/She challenges and reviews the existing maintenance plans in terms of operations, periodicity, estimated hours (workload balancing), procedures and spare parts requirement and makes recommendations for optimization and improvement of the SAP as necessary.
He/She provides Onshore support and focal point for the Offshore Maintenance teams.
Operations
      
To prepare scopes of work and ensure that all materials and equipment are available as and when required for modifications, repairs or maintenance activities.
To prepare scopes of work for approved work programmes ensuring that all relevant operating procedures and safety regulations are written in and that all necessary materials and equipment are available as and when required.
To build the Work Order (WO) associated to a Notification with below information (at a minimum):
All resources required to complete the work pack (including any common user services e.g., Scaffolding, rigging abseiling, etc.).
o   Manhours/trade.
o   Materials.
o   Tools &amp; Equipment.
o   Special PPEs or Procedures if required.
o   External Services or Specialist Vendor Support (OEM).
o   Any special skills required to complete the work scope.
o   Any specific consideration for job execution (Confined Space, Hot Work, etc.).
To assist with the preparation of the preventive maintenance schedule for plant (PM01 &amp; PM02) and equipment and ensure that planned work takes place.
To review all Work Orders due within the next 90 days, ensuring they are released and ready to schedule, setting “RTE” – Ready to Execute status in SAP.
o   VENDOR Rev status – Held for Vendor (ensure that selected Vendor is available and has all documentation/logistics in place).
To review/revalidate Work Orders bi-weekly through SAP variant, that are held out of the planning process by one of&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
Solid understanding of SAP, HSE standards, and Maintenance methodologies.
Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and interface with engineering, HSE, and QA/QC.
Fluent in English (spoken and written).
Valid offshore certifications: BOSIET / HUET / H2S / OGUK Medical&lt;br /&gt;

Good understanding of preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance.
Ability to read and interpret P&amp;IDs, PFDs, isometric drawings, vendor manuals, and datasheets.
Practical knowledge of alignment, flange management, bolting, lubrication, bearing replacement, and mechanical troubleshooting.
Familiarity with CMMS systems, preferably SAP PM.
Good knowledge of PTW, isolations, gas testing, ATEX requirements, PPE, and offshore HSE procedures.
Good supervisory, reporting, and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Theoretical Knowledge
Basic understanding of oil &amp; gas facilities and processes (well to export), including hydrocarbon risks (explosion, asphyxiation).
Working knowledge of SAP for maintenance planning, work order preparation, material requisition, and history tracking.
Proficient in basic computer use (Word, Excel, email, internet).
Strong foundation in mechanical principles and process parameters (pressure, temperature, flow, density) and their impact on rotating and static equipment performance.
Able to read and interpret P&amp;IDs, isometric drawings, GA drawings, equipment datasheets, and vendor documentation.

Equipment Knowledge
Working knowledge of mechanical installation (filters, gear boxes, exchangers, air coolers, diesel engine, gas turbines, centrifugal and reciprocating pumps or compressors, common valve types (butterfly, gate, ball, cage and PSV) and hydraulic systems (cranes, HPU, pumps).
Maintenance work preparation know-how 
Understand maintenance strategies and techniques, including: Preventive and corrective maintenance
Alignment, tolerances, and clearances
Basic condition monitoring concepts (vibration, temperature, leaks)
Be able on a given preventive work order to prepare tools, spare parts and adapt procedure or work instruction.
Basic understanding of process control interactions with mechanical systems, including how equipment responds to operational changes (start-up, shutdown, trips).
Awareness of safety systems and interfaces with mechanical equipment, including ESD actions, relief systems, and isolation philosophy.
Qualifications:

Bacharelato em Engenharia Mecânica
Has held as a minimum a Mechanical foreman position for up to 5 years in an offshore maintenance setting
Computer literacy is required,
Ability to work offshore under the climatic conditions of the site,

OPERATIONS
Assists the Trade Specialist and Supervisor, to ensure a quality Preparation and execution of all Curative and Breakdown Maintenance works on site.
Using CMIMS, follows and prepares all Curative Work Activities in line with the approved planning issued by the CMMS planner.
Using CMIMS, follows and prepares all Spare Parts required to execute the Curative Work Activities in line with the approved planning issued by the CMMS planner.
Assists the Trade Supervisor and / or Trade Foreman with the opening of PTW’s which require technical or administrative modification after site review, including Fast track PTW’s. This also includes progressing the PTW regarding mandatory authorisations and signatures etc.
Ensures that COMPANY’s HSE regulations are respected (especially procedures related to Work Permits), as well as approved operating procedures and standard industry practice during preparation of activities placed under his / her responsibility.
Enters intervention reports, SCE results (if applicable), time writing data and TECO status for completed work orders under his / her area of responsibility in the CMIMS.
Ensures all associated PTW’s are closed out at the end of the concerned intervention(s).
Participates and represents his / her Discipline in the Daily Site Permit Co-ordination meetings.
Carries out, at Trade Specialist request, any operation within his / her area of responsibility.
Is responsible for the preparation and execution of jobs / tasks assigned (as and when) by hierarchy.
METHODS
Identifies recurrent corrective maintenance interventions, analyses them, and suggests improvements,
Keeps a critical eye on current Curative maintenance programmes and, if need be, suggests improvements,
Warns support and planning teams of any recurring problems related to the availability or quality of spare parts.
Keeps track of any backlog of work in his / her area of responsibility and suggests corrective measures to the Trade Supervisor if this backlog threatens to become unmanageable,
Suggests improvements and requests modifications to Trade Specialist and / or Trade Supervisor.

QUALITY ASSURANCE
Verifies the quality of his / her Preparations by frequent on-site checks and communication with concerned Trade Supervisor or Foreman.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Higher National Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Engineering
Minimum 10years’ experience in the field of maintenance on oil and gas production installations,
Must be computer litereate with specific professional knowledge in SAP, Electronic Permit systems, MS Office applications.
Must have general knowledge of: Smart Transmitters, Analysers, Control Valves (all types), F&amp;G devices / systems, Metering (Oil &amp; Gas), etc.,&lt;br /&gt;

* Connaissance du secteur pétrolier
* Formation de base Certificat/BTS/Licence en instrumentation ou en Management de
