Job description
- Follow instructions of the team leader / supervisor on the WTG/OSP at all times
- Ensure materials and kit are safely stored and free from damage
- Install, control, and maintain asset protection and housekeeping
- Assist with lifting and lowering of asset equipment
- Ensure wastage is segregated and disposed as per the waste management procedures
- Follow project procedures, report any deviation to team leader before proceeding
- Follow all instructions given to them by their team leader, Supervisor, or Manager
- Work safely at-all-times
- Take an active part in HSEQ throughout the project duration, reporting any safety observations both positive and /or negative
- Encourage their fellow team members to be proactive, take care of each other
- Attend daily briefings with Supervisor for HSEQ, progress, logistics, welfare
- Advise of any potential risk and/or delay and mitigate where possible
- Communicate with the team leader or supervisor any unforeseen issues or concerns.
- Defect reporting
- Activate the all-stop command if deemed necessary to protect people, property, and the environment
- Maintain contractor to client relations
Profile
Within SPIE Wind Connect the HV\FO assistants play an important role in the continuous improvement process which is aimed at developing emerging talent within the business. HV\FO assistants are mentored by senior personnel on live projects, which provides them with experience, knowledge, and real-time training.

Candidate criteria
Minimum level of experience required
1 year or more
Required authorisations
- Experience of maintaining materials and kit
- Experience of assisting Cable Jointer
- Experience with follow manufacturer and/or project standard procedures
- Knowledge of the reporting procedure for any quality deviations
- Knowledge of standard safety processes, policies and demonstrated experience of working safely at all-times
- Examples of taking an active part in HSEQ throughout the project duration, reporting any safety observations.
- Examples of working well within a project team with positive feedback from colleagues
- GWO Certificates (Desirable)
- HV or FO qualifcations (Desirable)
