Job description
Thanks to its internationally recognized expertise in the field of oil and gas production unit operations, maintenance and also Renewable Energy market, SPIE Global Services Energy was selected to provide this activity on the Block 3, PALANCA in Angola.
In order to participate to our growth of Sub-Saharan Africa Business Unit, we are looking for a SAFETY OFFICER H/F .
This position is located OFFSHORE on PALANCA, Block 3 in ROTATIONAL MODE 4x4.
Role includes but is not limited to:
- He is responsible for the reliability and integrity of all safety equipment.
- He is responsible for all preventive maintenance on safety equipment on board (as per list below), ensure the follow-up and highlight all deviation with COMPANY’s procedures.
- To help the management to have a prompt vision of the HSE activities and performances in the various locations
- Support to HSE training activities, carry out HSE visits to the different locations
- Compliances with client policies
- Check all routine order to bring to operation HSE experience.
- Audit review/report PTW / Policies Standards and Procedures

Profile
The holder of this position must have the following qualifications :
- Higher National Diploma or Certificate - HND/HNC (A-levels + 3 years study) or BTS/DUT or equivalent,
- 15 years related to HSE in the Oil&Gas.
- Specific professional knowledge in HSE related to Oil&Gas activities, like but not only :
- Accreditation for checking extinguisher on yearly basis.
- Accreditation for checking life jacket
- Accreditation for checking and testing the isolating breathing apparatus
- Accreditation for checking the safety harness
- Accreditation for checking the foam system on the FWP
- Accreditation for checking the gas detector
- Pride in his work, ability to maintain good relations with colleagues and others,
- Physical ability to work on offshore installations in the climatic conditions of the site,
- Computer skills, including power point Excel, Word, SAP
- Language : English Bright 3.5 (or equivalent)
Perfectly competent and independent in his field, he must show common sense and organisational ability.
