Job description

• Comply with and ensure compliance with the QHSE rules,
instructions and procedures in force at SPIE Oil and Gas Services
• Supervise the team he/she is in charge of
• Analyze the balance sheet and income statement sections in order
to prepare the monthly, quarterly and annual closing files
o Verify and justify the consistency of account balances at their
level
o Record transactions relating to equity accounts
o Carry out consistency tests with the allowance, variation and
reversal accounts
o Identify potential accounting errors and implements corrective
actions
o Verify that the financial statements derived from the trial
balance are consistent with the last cash position transmitted
to SPIE Oil and Gas Services reporting department
• Supervise the activities carried out by his Accounting team and
participate in the improvement of the accounting process
o Organize the service by defining the levels of responsibility of
each person
o Organize and plans tasks between team members
o Control the correct execution of the work carried out
• Prepare tax returns and manage relations with the administration
and external auditors
o Check tax files
o Determine the tax result, draw up tax returns, prepare tax
packages and send them to the head office
o Participate in the response to requests for clarification from
tax authorities
o Ensure the processing of requests from statutory auditors
• Apply and enforce accounting rules and standards
o Respect and enforce accounting standards
o Ensure that his/her team respects the legal deadlines
o Ensure compliance with the monthly reporting schedule
o Ensure the traceability of accounting documents relating to the
service
o Guarantee compliance with the ethical rules specific to the
profession of Chief Accountant

On the basis of field feedback and
his/her own analysis, suggest solutions
to improve and adapt the process

Profile

• Master's degree in accounting,
control, auditing
• Diploma in Accounting
• University degree or business
school diploma supplemented by
accountancy finance training

• Extensive technical knowledge in
general accounting and book
keeping
• Accounting plan
• Master an accounting software
• Reporting
• Good level of English
