Job description

SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is currently looking for a Warehouse Storeman to join its work force in Nigeria.

OPERATIONS

  • Organizes on site the specific operations which are placed under his responsibility.
  • Assists the Planning Engineer with the accurate resourcing and suitable planning input to ensure a quality preparation and execution of all works under his responsibility, including the assurance that all material returning for repair/refurbishment have all necessary CMIMS data before shipment (e.g. Work orders, Release Orders, Purchase Orders, Transport Orders, etc…).
  • Ensures that COMPANY’s HSE regulations are respected (especially procedures related to shipment of hazardous materials, storage of materials (hazardous or not), Recording of Material receipt/dispatch, etc..).
  • Controls the logistics of all materials to and from the FPSO (by Sea or Air), ensuring a continual liaison between onshore and offshore logistical departments and Marine department.
  • Manages all activities within the offshore warehouse within CMIMS to ensure that all AKPO materials have a systematic storage location, clear referencing in CMIMS.
  • Conducts systematic stock checks and ensures accuracy of stored quantities.
  • Ensures all materials handled offshore and warehouse activities have the correct paperwork and legal documentation (e.g. MRD, Manifests, Hazardous materials forms, etc…) and conforms with COMPANY safety Regulations and Logistical Procedures.
  • Ensures his team are following all instructions and correct work practices (application of safety measures, PPE, Correct use of tools, manual handling techniques, specific handling facilities, etc.).
  • Controls and ensures the tracking of stock and re-ordering of all AKPO & Pressurized Gas bottle inventories (e.g. O2, CO2, Acetylene, Refrigerant gases, Laboratory gases, etc., ).
  • Controls the AKPO Operations mini-stock inventory offshore,
  • Ensures a clear method to monitor and tracking the location of Direct purchase spares onboard the FPSO.
  • Responsible for ensuring the safe packaging, handling and backload of containers/materials from the FPSO (e.g. All Storage and packaging are in a safe manner, technically correct with certified slings.).
  • Controls all logistics for the Waste Management Plan on the FPSO, with responsibility for waste collection (with Marine team), assuring timely availability of the Waste skips.

Profile

The holder of this post must have the following qualifications:

  • Specific professional knowledge: CMIMS: SAP/R3, Carriage of Dangerous Goods Regulations, stock control and reporting, Warehouse control and spares induction.
  •  Has the ability to maintain good relations with colleagues and others,
  • Physical ability to work on offshore installations in the climatic conditions of the site.
  • Languages: Spoken and Written English necessary (score of >> 3.5 in standard Total test or Bright test or 780 in TOEIC), French an advantage.
  • He must have proven ability as a Supervisor of a small team. Perfectly competent and independent in his own field.
  • He must show common sense and a clear organizational ability.
