Job description
We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Middle East LLC for a:
Laboratory Engineer
Job Purpose:
Manage all activities including safety and environmental compliance in Laboratory.
Your main duties will be to:
1. Manage and monitor all the laboratory equipment / Utilities/ Spare parts / Consumables in Laboratory.
2. Manage and monitor all activities held in laboratory.
3. Supervise Laboratory Operators. Maintain good working spirit and coordinate and motivate laboratory
staffs.
4. Coordinate with Commissioning team for sampling timing and quantity of media for analysis.
5. Check the analysis result and prepare analysis report / Responsible for review & approval for analysis
report by laboratory operators.
6. Maintain stable operation of laboratory equipment. Manage troubleshooting, stock of consumables,
spare parts, utilities and maintenance tools.
7. Communicate and coordinate with Commissioning team, Engineering team, Laboratory equipment
supplier and others as necessary to accomplish operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment
and building.
8. Follow, implement, and maintain HSE requirements, Environmental procedure, Hazardous waste
management procedure; monitor and control HSE performance of laboratory staffs.
Rotation: 10 weeks on / 2 weeks off
Profile
Ideally, you will have a Degree in Chemical engineering discipline from a recognized university with 7 years' experience in Oil & Gas (incl. but not limited to Refinery)/ Petrochemical fields or Equivalent” or “3 years in a relevant position title”. Preferable have experience working on Shimadzu instruments.
You will have proven experience in Safety precautions and occupational hazards in the use of equipment; safe work methods and practices.
You will have a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in industry commissioning software and systems and advance skills in Microsoft Office. You will need excellent communication and presentation skills in English both written and verbal in English.
