Job description

We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Saudi Arabia for a:
Civil Inspectors

Job Purpose:

This is an opportunity to participate in the inspection surveillance and walkthroughs, as well as after commissioning and normal operation of the plant of a work site assigned to for a major complex Refinery.

Your main duties will be to:

Be responsible for Full range of civil inspection activities
Be responsible for Internal and external inspection and quality control.
Carry out Miscellaneous related duties as directed by the applicable Supervisor.
Train personnel to develop technical ability and understanding of applicable codes, standards, inspection methods in various disciplines.
Observe and/or record results of tests and inspections.
Prepare worksheets, pre & post T&I reports, records and reports on inspection assignments.
Work will require physical exertion such as climbing, be primarily outdoors.
Draft inspection reports, pre and post testing and inspection (T&I) reports, worksheets and non-compliance reports.
Prepare log book entries of on-site inspection.
Inspect each job site for unsafe conditions that could cause injury, death or financial loss to the company.
Report findings to appropriate parties.


Ideally, you will have a Degree in civil engineering discipline from a recognized university with 10 relevant experience in major complex Refinery or Diploma graduate with minimum of 15 years relevant inspection experience.
You will have a minimum of 10 years' proven experience working at senior level in the area of specialization activities in similar Refinery/Petrochemical Plants.
Comprehensive knowledge of industrials codes such as NACE standards, Uniform Building code, Uniform Plumbing Code.
You will preferably have previous work experience in GCC country. Experience working in Saudi Arabia is advantage.
You will have proven experience in Safety precautions and occupational hazards in the use of equipment; safe work methods and practices.
You will have a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in industry commissioning software and systems and advance skills in Microsoft Office. You will need excellent communication and presentation skills in English both written and verbal in English.
