HSE:
Ensure HSE policy fulfillment during his activities.
Establishes and maintain a strong safety culture in line with TotalEnergies’ HSE requirements and rules.
Complies with HSE Legislation (Occupational and process), TotalEnergies’ standards and Procedures under his area of responsibility to ensure employees safety, legislative compliance, and responsible environment attitude.
Complies with Operating Procedures and Guidelines with the asset to ensure process safety, operational safety, and plan integrity.
Contributes to achieve and improve HSE targets, respecting the existing procedures and advising new specifics ones (If required)
Update his technical documentation.
Give his contribution in hazard analyses, incident investigations in root cause failure analyses, process incidents advising his hierarchy about HSE issue and proposing corrective solutions.
Report anomalies, accidents, near misses
Failure Analyses, Process Incidents audits and other activities as required.
Operates in conformity with mechanical/electrical codes, standards, regulations, and industry best practices (ASME, API, ANSI, OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001)
Check validity of work permit relevant to work scope before handling a task.
Checks and verifies that mandatory aspects (including those concerning local law scenario) are properly implemented for all activities carried out,
Participate to safety talk before and after intervention.
Participate to key procedure audits in proactive manner,
Respects the waste management policy and enforce on site.
And for Electricity in particular:
Knowledge of electrical Certification requirements and be certified as required.
Be aware of permit to work and electrical isolations requirements.
Be aware of gas test requirement.
Be knowledgeable of area classification and Ex materials requirements.
Be knowledgeable of PPE requirement and MSDS.
Understand hazards associated to leak tests and hydrotests.
Correctly report anomalies, accidents, near misses.
Be able to follow maintenance route and fill up associated check-up list.
Have a basic knowledge of working principle of a PLC. Logic diagram with module: AND/OR, NAND/NOR, clock, delay, latch, memory, microprocessor...
Understand inhibit, alarm and trip concepts.
Understand the principle of electrical protection: short circuit, overload, earth fault, reverse power, transformer, alternator, and motor specific protections.
Be knowledgeable on explosion proof materiel and associated requirements.
For electrician technicians only and for high voltage panel: be able to identify all cubicles and their equipment.
Understand interlocking systems in between cubicles.
For HVAC technicians only, understand working principle of HVAC equipment with different technology (chiller and reciprocating compressor, split units…).
Perfectly competent and independent in his field specially:
Must show common sense, organization ability and responsibility.
Pride in his work, ability to maintain good relations with colleagues and others.
Physical ability to work on offshore installations in the climatic conditions of the site.
Rigorous and methodical in his approach to operation and able to anticipate and analyze situation.
Able to complete mechanical preventive and corrective maintenance according to planning and instructions.
