Job description

Duties and Responsibilities


• Familiarity with Overhead crane Operation and Maintenance
• Good understanding of crane operations including a very broad category relating to safe crane operation.
• Has general knowledge such as ( but not limited to ) inspection, wire rope, rigging accessories, rigging appliances, has understand ASME 30.5 ( wire rope and criteria).
• Understanding and the components of load chart and range diagram and set up of equipment properly.
• Well-versed with all the troubleshooting and maintenance techniques such as hoisting Motor / brake, Hoisting limit switch adjustment, Rope drum / guide / clamps / anchorage maintenance, Rope sheaves, Overhead trolley, couplings, Crane block, Hook, Hoist, etc.
• Understand and performs Pre-check inspection, Safe working practices and inspection checklist.
• Provide feedback about the effectiveness of the implemented corrective and preventive measures
• The prompt reporting of deficiencies in risk control measures, including those arising from changes in working conditions, staffing levels and change in equipment condition.
• Support Company EHS and Quality policies and programs and implement all OH&S procedures and practices.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a member of a team.
• Understanding and avoiding site hazards
• Reports all Near Misses, Incidents and Accidents during operation

Profile

Experience, Knowledge and skills
Educational Qualifications: Minimum Higher Secondary School Education
Relevant Work Experience: A minimum of 5 years work experience. A minimum of 3 years at Oil & Gas or LNG Plant or Petrochemical plant environment


English Language Skills: Good written and oral communication skills in English.
Trade Certificate / Specialized Trainings: Hold a valid certificate of competence, issued by an recognized body.

Job Specific Requirements:
• Must have extensive experience operating overhead crane and practical knowledge and more importantly, familiarity with equipment for about three years depending on model and year of manufacturer.
• Identifying parts and functionality required for a particular lifting.
• Determine the defective parts by proper inspection as per ASME 30.5.
• Able to read and fully understand the details or reference of an overhead crane manual book.
• International / standard lifting signal knowledge.
• Has practical knowledge of maintenance and minor trouble shooting of different types of OHC equipment.
• Understands lifting hazards identification.
