Job description

QHSE

  • Must be and remain well informed of rules, instructions and procedures regarding QHSE.
  • Implements and ensures implementation of SPIE OGS QHSE rules, instructions and procedures.
  • Makes proposals for the continuous improvement of QHSE provisions.
  • Draws up noncompliance and/or observation reports when noting any malfunction or risk situation and transmits them to the local QHSE department.
  • Immediately alerts any person who caused a risk situation, on noting the occurrence of any such situation.
  • Adopts an eco-approach at all times in the exercise of his/her duties.
  • Alerts the line management when encountering any professional situation that does not comply with the principles and rules governing the carrying out of SPIE Group activities (Ethics Alert).

OPERATIONS

  • In charge of the Workshop and all relevant technicians in the workshop.
  • Liaise with the Supervisors Offshore.
  • Directs the subcontractors, and co-ordinates according to the maintenance constraints,
  • Obtain the permits necessary to the execution of the works to be carried out.
  • Supervises the maintenance performed by subcontractors onshore,
  • Control consumables consumption,
  • Liaise with the Planner and Warehouse Supervisor for scheduled and non-scheduled workshop activities.
  • Take advantage of any planned works to reschedule maintenance
  • Promote a safety attitude to the maintenance team,
  • Ensure that workshop maintenance team works in safe conditions,
  • Make suggestions to improve safety level.
  • Ensure only the correct consumable (for welding, blasting and painting) as stipulated by the approved WPS / procedures are in use on site by the welders, blasters and painters.
  • Ensure only Qualified artisans (welding, blasters and painters) are deployed for all activities
  • Ensure continuous update of the welder’s qualifications.
  • Verifying conformity of the work to specified Quality Requirements and ensuring that the inspections and controls are carried out and documented in accordance with the Quality Procedure.
  • Controls coating and welding parameters and consumables during installation / construction activities,
  • Ensure the correct implementation of the approved Inspection Test Plan by Construction team / Contractor.
  • Checks the availability and suitability of the filler material, preheating, welding, heat treatment, the bevels, the extent of the repairs made by the various welders and taking any corrective actions
  • Carry out visual inspections, Verifies dimensional correctness and Monitors defect removal by Magnetic Permeability Inspection (MPI).
  • Ensure proper storage of all consumables (welding and Painting) and manage material traceability
  • Collate all (welding and coating) technical queries and report to Onshore QAQC Engineer.

Profile

  • Conversant with the International Standards, Codes and Total General Specifications
  • Experience: Verifiable experience in the use of MS Office packages
  • Degree or equivalent
  • Plant maintenance operations supervision and co-ordination,
  • Store keeping
  • Cost effectiveness of the maintenance
  • Conservation of the assets

Minimum level of experience required

10 years or more

Required authorisations

  • Certifications – AWS CWI or CSWIP 3.1 (Level 2)
  • Welding Inspector; NACE II
  • BGAS CSWIP Painting Inspector Grade II

English (C-Professional working proficiency)
