Job description
Thanks to its internationally recognized expertise in the field of oil and gas production unit operations, maintenance and also Renewable Energy market, SPIE Global Services Energy was selected to provide this activity on ENI ORF PROJECT in Ghana.
In order to participate to our growth of Sub-Saharan Africa Business Unit, we are
looking for MECHANICAL SUPERVISOR H/F .
This position is located ONSHORE in Gas Compression Plant in ROTATIONAL MODE 4x4.
We are primarily looking for a candidate who demonstrates the following skills:
Mechanical Specific:
- Experienced in execution of maintenance and troubleshooting activities on Gas Engines (GE Waukesha 275 series preferably), turbo-compressor systems (experience on Siemens SGT-400 gas turbines and Dresser-Rand centrifugal compressors is a plus), Compressors, Firewater pumps, HP Barrel pumps, Submersible water pumps, Process and Utilities Valves.
- Also, strong capability in equipment overhaul, machine tools operation, welding techniques, NDT execution. Etc.
Context and missions :
- He is responsible for maintenance operations within his field of competence.
- He guarantees a good level of availability of the equipment on production SITE.
- He plays a predominant role in the transfer of skills to personnel undergoing training and development by mentoring on SITE.
Main activities:
- Respect and apply QHSSE rules and procedures
- In his discipline, he/she is in charge to :
- Organize and perform on site the maintenance operations which are placed under his responsibility.
- Assist the Preparation / planning team by giving any
technical support for preparation of the jobs in his
discipline. - Manage interventions and prepare the technical reports related to the field.
- Is responsible of the specific tools of his team. (quantity and availability)
- Take in charge the systems / equipment under his/her responsibility in case of breakdown until correct operation status.
- Identify recurrent corrective maintenance interventions, analyze them and suggest improvements.
Specific activities
- Ensure that the transfer of knowledge by mentoring occurs
properly within his teams, and actively participates in the OJT /
assessment program. - Identify any recurring problems related to the availability or
quality of spare parts. - Keep a critical eye on current preventive maintenance programs
and, if need be, suggest improvements. - Can be part of Emergency Response Team.
Organize the site rotational assignment.
Profile
We are primarily looking for a candidate who demonstrates the following skills / Profile
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent,
- Minimum 15 years relevant work experience, including 5 years minimum as maintenance Mechanical supervisor or Engineer in industrial plants (oil & gas production / processing plants, refineries, or similar industrial complexes) in static and rotating equipment maintenance,
- A basic knowledge of the process of oil and gas treatment, installations and a thorough knowledge of the equipment used in oil and gas treatment installations
Specific professional knowledge: CMIMS : SAP/R3
