We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Global Services Energy, Qatar for a :
Quality Lead (Manufacturing)
Job Purpose
Responsible for all aspects of quality for Major Projects/NFPS projects as a member of NFPS Shared Services Quality team. Ensure the quality of products and processes throughout the manufacturing lifecycle. This involves developing and implementing quality control procedures, monitoring production, investigating issues, and driving continuous improvement. They also play a key role in ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
Key Job Accountabilities
Creating and implementing quality control plans, procedures, and documentation to ensure products and processes meet established standards and specification
Conducting inspections and tests during various stages of manufacturing to identify defects or deviations from quality standards
Investigating quality issues, performing root cause analysis using tools like Fishbone Diagram, 5 Whys etc. and developing and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of quality control activities, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance reports
Working closely with other teams (engineering, manufacturing, etc.) to address quality issues, communicate quality standards, and drive continuous improvement
Ensuring that manufacturing processes and products comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
Identifying opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, reduce costs, and enhance product quality through the implementation of best practices and lean manufacturing principles
Lead or be part of Quality Management System Audits to ensure full compliance to Company requirements and applicable international codes and standards
Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Sciences or Engineering.
- 10 years experience in Quality in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 3 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
- Experience with Oil & Gas companies, Contractors, or Service Companies. Experience working in large scale operating organizations in Operations, Projects, etc. Knowledge of relevant Quality Systems, specifications, and tools. Knowledge of Industry standards
- Creating and implementing quality control plans, procedures, and documentation to ensure products and processes meet established standards and specifications
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, industry regulations, and performance improvement methodologies
- Knowledge of relevant Quality Systems, specifications, and tools.
Quality Analysis Tools, Root Cause Failure Analysis, etc.) - The ability to document quality plans, Inspection and Tests Plans (ITPs), and other relevant documents clearly and concisely
- Knowledge of various testing and inspection methods, both destructive and non-destructive, as well as the ability to interpret results
- You will have a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in industry electrical software and systems and advance skills in Microsoft Office. You will need excellent communication and presentation skills in English both written and verbal in English.
