Job description

Thanks to its internationally recognized expertise in the field of oil and gas production unit operations, maintenance and also Renewable Energy market, SPIE Global Services Energy was selected to provide this activity on the Block 3, PALANCA in Angola.


In order to participate to our growth of Sub-Saharan Africa Business Unit, we are
looking for a RCM Specialist H/F .


This position is located OFFSHORE on PALANCA, Block 3 in ROTATIONAL MODE
4x4.


Role includes but is not limited to:

Operations

  • Responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability and implementation of maintenance activities related to condition monitoring, plant control and instrumentation and equipment for reliable, safe and cost effective operation of all major auxiliary equipment and generator units
  • Performs RCM activities (Analysis of failures, Definition of equipment reliabilities, Study of criticality of the equipment, MTBF/MTTR, failure rate and Recommendation of maintenance strategy)
  • RAM Analysis : Perform reliability, availability and maintainability (RAM) studies to support maintenance and operations in compliance to COMPANY standards
  • Spares parts strategy: Evaluate and enhance the current spare parts strategy using RAM principles to ensure the availability of critical systems and equipment.
  • Develop data-driven approaches to optimize spare parts / stock inventory, balancing cost-effectiveness with the need for timely replacements, etc..
  • Analyses the results, providing assistance to CONTRACTOR and to the Specific Maintenance Contracts (SMC)
  • Ensures that maintenance operations are prepared in strict accordance with COMPANY’s current safety rules and operating procedures.
  • Trains offshore assistant personnel as required.

Methods

  • Keeps a critical eye on current preventive maintenance programs and proposes improvements.
  • Warns supports teams of recurring problems related to the availability or quality of spare parts.
  • Keeps track of any backlog of work in his area of responsibility and suggests corrective measure if this backlog threatens becomes unmanageable.
  • Prepare, adapt and modify Conditional Maintenance booklet,
  • Edit monthly conditional maintenance report for all sites, including vibrations analysis, oil sampling results, pumps performances.
  • Follow the organizations, proposals and material in the frame of new projects

Profile

The holder of this position must have the following qualifications:

  • Higher National Diploma or Certificate (HND/HNC (A-levels + 3 years’ study) or BTS/DUT or equivalent,
  • Proven experience on conditional base maintenance and vibration monitoring equipments.
  • 5 years’ experience in the maintenance field on oil and gas production installations,
  • RCM activities : Analysis of failures, Definition of equipment reliabilities, Study of criticality of the equipment, MTBF/MTTR, failure rate and Recommendation of maintenance strategy
  • RAM Analysis : Perform reliability, availability and maintainability (RAM) studies to support maintenance and operations in compliance to COMPANY standards
  • SAP/R3 experience and know-how
  • Physical ability to work on offshore installations in the climatic conditions of the site,
  • Fluent in English, knowledge of French & Portuguese language recommended
  • Leadership, reliability and work confidentiality.
