We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Middle East LLC for a:

Planning & Scheduling Engineer

Job Purpose:

This is an opportunity for you to be responsible for Day-to-day schedule development, review, updates and Critical Path and Earned Value analysis to fully develop resource and cost loaded schedules to catch up with the rapid progress on the construction of Substations and associated cable laying works for major power distribution.

Your main duties will be to:

 Track and be involved in project issues as they relate to project schedules
 Prepare reports, Time Impact Analysis and other schedule related tasks as directed by the manager.
 Proactively anticipate schedule impacts and advise the project team.
 Co-ordinate with other sections/depts. Personnel to ensure that the quality of product meets client's standards and the client's expectations.
 Understand the Critical Path Method of scheduling theoretically and as it applies in projects
 Understand the contractual clauses as it applies to planning and scheduling
 Ensure non-disclosure of confidential information to anyone within or outside the Authority, during or after employment in the company.
 Follow and adhere to the OH&S Management System Manual as per client's safety standards.


 Ideally, you will have a Degree Construction, Engineering, or Electrical preferred; or any degree with construction related experience from a recognized university with 5 experience on the construction of Substations and associated cable laying works for major power distribution.
 You will have a minimum of 5 years' proven experience working in a similar role, successful CPM scheduling experience for construction/engineering projects utilizing Primavera Scheduling Software.
 You will have five years of experience in the construction/engineering field – Ability to understand and accurately interpret construction documents (drawings, specifications, contracts/general conditions) at all levels of construction
 You will have professional level experience in Latest Primavera Scheduling Software (Version P3.1 and P6 latest Version)
 You will have advance skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Projects and Visio (preferred), M/S Projects
 Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) and SAP a plus
 Other Graphing Software a plus
 You will preferably have previous work experience in GCC country. Experience working in UAE is advantage.
 You will have proven experience in Safety precautions and occupational hazards in the use of equipment; safe work methods and practices.
 You will need excellent communication and presentation skills in English both written and verbal in English.
