Job description

We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Qatar LLC 

QC Inspector – Painting

  • Review all fabrication specifications, painting procedures and Inspection and test procedures;
  • Review of all the codes and standards related to inspection requirements;
    Attend the inspection witness and hold points as per the approved Quality Control Plan;
  • Report on the inspections to the QC Coordinator;
  • Follow up all Site NCR in area of responsibility and ensure proper actions and documentation;
  • Conduct inspection of painting materials (paints, thinners, solvents etc.) and related consumables;
  • Conduct inspection of insulation materials (cold, hot, metal cladding etc.) and related consumables;
  • Coordinate all requests for Painting Inspections and coordinate the same with the relevant Project Team members;
  • Carry out stage-wise inspection for all painting and insulation activities, report on them, and assess their compliance with specified acceptance criteria;
  • Report and follow-up on defects and non-conformities raised during the inspections;
  • Ensure the correct equipment is being used, with proper inspection and certification;
  • Follow up the Mechanical Completion in area of responsibility;
  • Verify and close punch items in the area of responsibility;
  • Follow up preservation of Site;
  • Inspect spare parts and Special Tools;
  • Conduct review and approve all Painting Inspection reports submitted by Contractor during construction and Commissioning

Profile

Ideally you will have academic qualification for the post is a technical engineering diploma. Candidates must also have

At least Eight (8) years of QC experience and completion of specialised courses (BGAS/NACE)

 

BGAS-CSWIP Grade 2/3 Certified Painting Inspector,

ASNT - NDT LEVEL 2 in

Ultrasonic Testing.

Radiographic Testing.

Magnetic Particle Testing.

Liquid Penetrant Testing.

candidates should have experience in the oil and gas field.

You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
