Job description
We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Middle East LLC Doha, Qatar for a :
Base Operations Work Preparator
Job Purpose:
- Co-ordination of all asset maintenance activities to ensure they are correctly prioritised, fully supported with materials and resources and are in line with the asset 5-week plan.
- Maintenance of SAP, ensuring all notification and work orders are in the necessary status to allow execution of works and ensuring all works are correctly closed out.
Your main duties will be to:
- Create SAP work orders to ensure integrity of data is correct and in line with business requirements.
- Close out SAP work orders upon completion of work to ensure timely and accurate recording of maintenance activities.
- Review work orders across all disciplines to ensure necessary materials & resources are in place prior to scheduled begin date.
- Visit worksites to determine whether work orders have the necessary access and isolations are identified prior to works commencing.
- Verify that all scheduled deliverables are correct for the required works and are verified as onboard prior to works commencing.
-Assist discipline supervisors to ensure backlog work orders are reduced or resolved.
-Monitor and report platform maintenance related KPIs to ensure platform meets targeted objectives.
- Maintain the Permit to Work register to ensure permit status is registered and visible at all times.
- Ensure safe delivery of core business through active management of maintenance activities and core operational activities while also integrating the execution of Campaign and Project activities.
- Act as an Performing Authority to ensure that all applicable works are carried out in accordance with the Permit to Work process and company requirements.
- Provide the OTL with analysis and comment on work order status in order to improve business performance and reduce risk.
- Participate in the Daily Permit Meeting and ensure teams strict compliance with company requirements and safe execution of all platform work activities.
- Provide direction, coaching and support to team members to ensure targets are met.
- Motivate and inspire team in the execution of their responsibilities to drive a performance culture and encourage innovative thinking around process safety and production optimization.
- Perform internal audits of risk management systems to drive compliance and continuous improvements
- Support the OTL in the implementation of relevant company policies, standards and processes to ensure employee safety and comply with legislative requirements.
Ideally, you will have graduated with minimum Higher Secondary School Education plus a three-year technical diploma (HNC, HND or equivalent).
Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience with at least 5 years offshore level on-field equipment in diversified oil & gas processing or petrochemical plants.
You are fluent in English.
