Work Preparator
Job Purpose:
To optimize production downtime when executing maintenance activities contributing to the development and review of risk assessments.
Your main duties will be to: -
- Custodian for the implementation and execution of the process allowing full readiness of Base OPS backlog work orders
- Ensure quality of preparation for all Base OPS work orders and across the Al Shaheen field, operations scheduled and correct spare parts and materials are ordered.
- Focus on SAP (WO, onshore support, readiness data & material availability report) and UC#03 – Offshore Optimization
tool. - Deep-dive on each work order and liaise with the offshore work preparators for each site so correct work order preparation process is followed. Perform updates on existing work orders
- Set with peers on each site weekly targets and chair follow-up meetings
- Ensure update of work orders as well as reason for backlog being filled in
For each backlog work order deemed not ready for execution:
-- Identify the main reason for backlog and populate the work order
-- Chair meetings with responsible entities to unlock the situation and allow readiness to execute the work. Examples being: - Shutdown required / business impact / production loss: conduct risk assessment and ensure WO is planned within correct event
- Awaiting onshore action: conduct weekly review with responsible parties to ensure focus is set to resolve open points
- Vendor availability: ensure with responsible party readiness to mobilize vendor (PO, POB booking, date set in the system)
- Material availability: liaise with material controllers for alternative or delivery date based on priority
- Conduct sessions with Base OPS, Campaign, Shutdown, Fabric Maintenance teams to confirm correct allocation of the
work orders
Ideally, you will have graduated with minimum Higher Secondary School Education plus a three-year technical diploma (HNC, HND or equivalent).
Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience with at least 5 years offshore level on-field equipment in diversified oil & gas processing or petrochemical plants.
You are fluent in English with both written and verbal communication
You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
