Job description

SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is currently looking for Head of Corporate Services Contracts to join its work force in Nigeria. His/her responsibilities shall include:

The job holder manages the Compliance

  • Verify that company's Contractual Policies and applicable laws and regulations are adhered to, especially related to ethic and transparency.
  • Verify that procurement Contracts and procedures comply with the standards of the company and the agreements with the partners.
  • Ensure the application and respect of the procedures in the tender process.

The Job holder liaises with Métier Partners and participates to the processes and communication of the contracts entity by performing the following tasks.

  • Introduce contracts practices and/or procedures for the establishment of contractual documents, in cooperation with the Métier Partners.
  • Supervise and train contract engineers through field training.
  • Help manage the workload, the assignments and competences update of his/her team of Contract engineers and contract administrators.
  • Keep informed or best practices in contracts procedures in other entities and affiliates for improvement of contracts practices in his/her affiliate.
  • Ensure that all insurance issues of company assets and personnel are dealt with.
  • Use frame agreements signed by headquarters.

The job holder executes the following contracts activities;

  • Prepare and maintain an up-to-date list of qualified contractors/suppliers/potential tenders/contracts with updated information in order to perform market studies.
  • Take a leading role in the validation of the contract's strategy through:
    -Arranging and attending Contracts Committee Meetings
    -Pre-qualifying bidders
    -Defining target prices
    -Defining criteria for evaluation
  • Supervise the creation of CFT commercial documents.
  • Supervise the preparation and issue of the call for tender to contractors and suppliers on the bidders list.
  • Ensure the preparation and send out the dossiers of pre-consultation and Standard or Complex invitations to bid.
  • Verify the alignment with HSE clauses, Company rules, Procedures, Instructions and applicable legislation when issuing all technical contracts and when drafting contractual and commercial terms and conditions.
  • Verify the Terms & Conditions (standard, general and financial)
  • Supervise the establishment of the technical contracts and contractual agreements, directly participate to the most complex contracts.
  • Participate in terms & conditions and commercial bid complex analysis and negotiations to ensure that a clear definition of responsibilities is developed.
  • Lead a duet with AOBO Métier Partners and AOBO contract Engineers to ensure COMPANY’s risk exposure is minimized by reducing pre-FID spend.
  • Ensure 100% compliance to COMPANY rules, SOX and local rules
  • The job is carried out in a context of increasing political environment; Nigerian Content Law.
  • Long and complex tendering procedure imposed by Company's Stakeholders (notably NAPIMS)

Profile

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • A degree in Engineering, Business Management or Social Sciences (preferably Supply Chain).
  • Membership of relevant professional bodies in the Supply Chain and in Operational functions will be an added advantage.
  • 8-10 years Oil and Gas Industry experience with excellent knowledge of the Supply Chain.
  • Excellent negotiation skills. Understanding of core operational activities (Exploration; Drilling, Engineering, Field Operations).
  • Personal Abilities: Advanced Management, Advanced Human Relations, Problem Solving and Planning / organizing / coordinating / controlling.
