Job description

SPIE Global Services Energy Nigeria is looking fro a Pigging Specialist to join its workforce in Nigeria.

You will be responsible for:

  • Performing the role as Team Lead for offshore execution scope of services.
  • Performing the role as Company Site Representative (CSR) in managing the multiple processes on site, and being the focal point interfacing with Execution Crew, Offshore Operations, Maintenance & Logistics, Marine, Security, External Contractors, and Shore-base.
  • Responsible for the site execution team in performing and completion of scope of services which shall include but not limited to:
    • Conducting checks and verifications on documents, tools and material prior to site mobilization.
    • Permit to work and other work management systems related application and document ownership.
    • Site survey, verification and reporting as part of pigging readiness review for planned pigging campaigns.
    • Site survey, verification and reporting as part of pigging feasibility review for pigging facility refurbishment and modification campaigns.
    • Pigging facility testing prior to commencement of pigging campaign. This shall include pig trap closure doors servicing and pressure testing.
    • Exploratory pigging and intelligent pigging/in-line inspection (ILI) campaign execution by third party ILI contractors. This shall include ensuring executions are in compliance to procedures and industry best practices, performing pig arrival time calculations, continuous monitoring during pig runs, generating daily reports, and enabling completion of campaign as per plan.
    • Maintenance pigging program start-up. This shall include executing pigging runs and providing support to offshore operations which shall include setting up and refurbishment of pigs, pig arrival time calculations, generating pig run reports, ordering pig and associated spares, and maintaining pigging facility until complete program handover to offshore Operations is achieved.
    • Document activities for pipeline files.
    • Providing on the job training and mentoring to execution team crew and offshore Operations personnel with regards to site execution scope of services.
    • Presenting post-execution debrief/close-out and lead lessons learned with relevant parties

 

Profile

We are primarily looking for a candidate who demonstrates the following skills:

  • Minimum 7 (seven) years of site execution experience in a Team Lead capacity in Oil & Gas installations relevant to pipeline scope of services which shall include but not limited to pipeline installation, repair and maintenance, modification, refurbishment, hydro-testing, flushing, de-oiling, and facility upgrade. Further experience related to pigging and pig traps which include exploratory pigging, pre-inspection cleaning, intelligent pigging/in-line inspection (ILI), operational pigging, handling pig trap doors and associated valves shall serve as highly advantageous.
  • Experienced in leading and managing a site execution team in particular offshore location.
  • Familiar in managing multiple process and interfacing on site with entities which include Execution Crew, Offshore Operations
  • Maintenance & Logistics, Marine, Security, External Contractors, and Shore-base.
  • Experienced in processes, requirements and industry practices related to site execution for offshore Oil & Gas installations.
  • Experienced in Permit to Work and related work management systems as per industry standards for Oil & Gas installations.
  • Experienced in site related documentation and reports generation.
  • Demonstrate understanding and awareness in SHE requirements, compliance and track record as per industry standards for Oil & Gas installations.
  • Experienced in understanding procedures, and drawings which include P&IDs, isometric drawings and as-built drawings.
  • Experienced in conducting site visits and generating detailed site visit reports.
  • Experienced in interfacing and working in a multicultural and team environment. Able to manage and provide on the job training/mentoring to site execution crew and Operations personnel
  • Familiarity in scopes related to pigging which include pigging execution such as pig launching and receiving, pig setting-up and refurbishing, operating a range of pig trap closures types, operating pig trap associated valves, Pipeline Pigging Questionnaires, and pigging facility upgrades shall serve as an added advantage.
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Sufficient computer skills to produce daily work reports, documenting “as found, as left” conditions, generate material lists and mobilization checklists, and other Word/Excel documents.
