JOB PURPOSE:
To support the accounts department with day-to-day functions for smooth operations. Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures alongside local tax and legal regulations.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Petty Cash management - assist, administer and process Petty Cash transactions within the parameters, ensuring policies and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of customer statements and collections.
- Maintain financial checks by following internal controls.
- Process expense claims by verifying supporting documentation and requesting disbursements; ensure the claim eligibility and entitlement are within the scope of contract and obtain proper approvals prior to payment.
- Create and update expenses report.
- Enter financial transactions into internal databases.
- Preparing letters; filing.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and guidelines.
COMPLIANCE
- Stay informed about relevant accounting regulations and standards.
- Assist in compliance with statutory requirements.
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH
- Apply knowledge of company Environmental Health codes, standards, and specifications as relevant to accounting functions.
- Contribute towards company’s QHSE policies.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to deal with multi-cultural environment
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles
- Strong analytical skill with attention to details
- Very good administrative & organizational skills
- Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
- Time Management and Reporting Skills
- Capacity to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Full-time bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Commerce/Accountancy.
