Job description


  • Ensure HSE objectives are reached and motivate all personnel (GMOC & SMC and specialists) toward this commitment

  • To ensure that safe and ethic working practices are carried out within the activities that he/she is managing or interfacing with. To guarantee the compliance on his activities.

  • To ensure that state of the art, Hibiscus referential and local rules/laws are complied with and captured in all technical requirements and that they are applied during the operation activities.

  • With the spirit of Hibiscus values, to establish and manage his/her activities motivating his/her counterparts and to work diligently to meet the targets of the project.

  • To promote innovation as far as compatible with good enough approach for all activities. To seek optimization and savings all along the different phases of the project. To focus on costs without impairing QHSE objectives

  • In LPC Project phase

  • Collect & comment technical documentation & certification issued from project, EPC, Manufacturer, or integrator

  • Follow construction activities and highlight to company improvement or defect observation (FAT, SAT etc…)

  • Issue operational procedures to operate & preventive maintenance procedure to maintain newly build & installed equipment – get those written procedures approved by COMPANY’s site management

  • Provide assistance to project team to ensure that overall progress goes as planned during construction, commissioning and start up phase

  • Perform technical QAQC check of the delivered special tool and spare parts, ensure their proper storage and preservation

  • Advise Production & Maintenance superintendent during the transfer of equipment to field Operation & Maintenance

  • Develop technological & equipment knowledge to be able to operate and perform conditional, preventive, and troubleshooting maintenance autonomously in operational phase

  • During operational phase

  • Monitor running parameter of LPC compressor and HV equipment, report any suspicious behavior of equipment and takes in charge the responsibility in case of breakdown until equipment correct operation status

  • Assists specialists working under specific maintenance contract (SMC) or adhoc service purchase order

  • Ensure that COMPANY’s HSE regulation are respected (especially procedures related to Work permit), as well as approved operating procedures and standard industry practice during performance of maintenance operations placed under his/her responsibility

  • Provide analysis of work execution, identify causes of delays, list mitigation measure and follow their implementation.

  • Write technical reports related to his field.

  • Ensures that transfer of knowledge occurs properly within site personnel and actively participates in this

  • Carries out, at COMPANY’s request, any intervention within his field of competence

  • Keep a critical eye on current preventive maintenance program and suggest improvement

  • Warns support team of any recurring problems related to the availability or quality of spare parts

Candidate criteria

Minimum level of experience required

6 years or more

Required authorisations

➢ Professional experience: young graduate with Power electronic specialties eager to learn and start a career


➢ Knowledge in semiconductor device (diode, thyristor, IGBT, GTO, MOSFETS).


➢ 10 kW to 10 MW, 200 to 20 kV inverter design and the ability to proof design


➢ BSC/BEng or HND electrical Engineering discipline


➢ Excellent capabilities to learn


➢ Confident to ask questions


➢ Rigorous and methodical approach and ability to maintain good relations with colleagues and contractors


➢ Self-starter and ability to motivate work


➢ Good verbal and written communication skills in a fluent English


➢ Management of activities with a high degree of autonomy and responsibility.
