Job description

We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Doha for a:

Mechanical Technician (Condition Monitoring) (MIC + Port) - Male

Number of Position: 01

Job Purpose:

This position is a unique opportunity with so many advantage in Oil and Gas career sector in one of the most important Project handled by SPIE in Qatar with  QatarEnergy in which the Project completed 08 years multi discipline tasks in Maintenance and Operation of large Industrial Area

Client satisfaction concluded by a new project contract awards with new Positions added.

The candidate shall ensure the following:

01. Diagnoses faults, carry out routine maintenance, repair and overhaul of various items of equipment and plant, such as blowers, compressors, pumps, diesel generators, valves, etc.

02. Troubleshoot the maintenance faults and providing on-the-job training to less experienced technicians.

03. Hands-on experience in working with Work Permit system Oil & Gas Industry.

04. Operation and maintenance of complete mechanical Systems, which includes supervision, planning and scheduling, inspection.

06. Draws attention to his ability to manage a repair department, perform preventative work, and follow safety protocols.

07. Work repair of UPVC, copper, DI, HDPE, GRE, and CS piping.

08. Preparation of daily Report for the activities.

09. The candidate concludes with important abilities including Safe work culture and practices. 

  Your main duties will be to:-

- Ensuring the maintenance tasks.
- Installing and performing diagnostic tests on all systems.
- Developing and implementing maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment breakdowns.
- Troubleshooting malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as performing repairs.
- Documenting processes and maintaining service records.
- Monitoring the availability of parts and replenishing supplies.
- Optimizing efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings.
- Training co-workers on the safe and efficient use of mechanical machinery and equipment.
- Maintaining a tidy work environment and adhering to industry regulations.

 

 

Profile

Ideally you will have Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

With a minimum experience of 08 Years in a.       overhauling pumps, compressors and diesel engines in water treatment plants, potable water networks etc., with at least 3 years work experience in the Oil and Gas industry or similar facilities.

Shall be familiar with pumps, compressors, blowers, pipes and fittings, material specifications.

Experience in UPVC, copper, DI, HDPE, GRE, and CS piping repair work.

Shall be capable of trouble shooting, maintaining, repairing and overhauling large size pumps, compressors, blowers, etc.

Shall be responsible for providing a variety of skilled work related to the maintenance and repair of different systems as well as for planning, scheduling and supervising the work of subordinates to deal objectively and harmoniously with others, and to render sound decisions.

Shall be familiar with material specifications, bearings, fasteners, P&ID, Piping Isometric drawings and the like.

Familiar with hand tools, fasteners and other similar equipment.

You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills,

The candidate starts with general skills like repairing and maintaining equipment, running diagnostics, and identifying problems.

The candidate concludes with important abilities including documentation and communication.

Written communication, Active listening, Verbal communication, editing.

Organization, Time management, Attention to detail, Problem-solving, 

Computer literacy essential and familiarity with MS Office 2000 packages.

Good knowledge of English and Mathematics at level required for the duties. Good knowledge in Spoken and written English.
